Robert is joining David Tennant in Bad Samaritan directed by Dean Devlin which is set to begin filming later this year . The thriller evolves around a pair of young valets who use their business as a front to burglarize the houses of their unsuspecting patrons. The two find themselves way out of their depth when they target the wrong house with a woman inside being held captive.
Some of you may remember the Hunger interview back in October last year  where Robert spoke of being a part of another one of Devlin’s films;
Hunger: Next year is a busy year for you then with Geostorm‘s release as well…
Yep, that’s coming out! There’s a project that the director of Geostorm, Dean Devlin wants me to do. Hopefully going to shoot that in the first quarter of next year and it’s a thriller set in a neighbourhood in Portland. Hopefully that will happen but it’s based on schedules. That’s the thing about being an actor, you’re constantly floating around in a chaos soup waiting for other people’s schedules to align with your own. That’s my foggy future for the time being!
I had my eye on Dean Devlin’s upcoming film called No Good Deed for quite some time as the plot sounded similar to the one Robert had described back in October, and as it turns out that Bad Samaritan is, in fact, the same film. You can check out the IMDB here. Robert has yet to be added. We can expect Bad Samaritan to release sometime next year!
The press release is below –
Dean Devlin will direct the feature about two car valets who moonlight as petty thieves.
Robert Sheehan is joining David Tennant in Bad Samaritan.
The Misfits actor will be featured along with the Doctor Who star in the Dean Devlin-directed thriller that follows two car valets who use their business as a front to steal from their patrons, until the petty thieves finally burglarize the wrong home.
Brandon Boyce penned the script, and Devlin is producing through his Electric Entertainment banner. Marc Roskin and Rachel Olschan will also produce.
Production on the film is set to begin later this year in the Portland, Oregon, area.
The Irish actor will next be seen in the Devlin-directed disaster thriller Geostorm, opposite Gerard Butler, which hits theater on Oct. 20, 2017.
Sheehan is repped by Gersh, the U.K.’s Lisa Richards and Felker Toczek.
Robert Sheehan, Rebecca Breeds and Three Summers director Ben Elton with MAPTO chairman Leighton Yates. In WA’s Peel region. Australia
The national and international cast for Ben Elton’s new movie Three Summers already spent last weekend exploring the Peel region before starting their first week of filming in Fairbridge.
Mandurah and Peel Tourism Organisation (MAPTO) provided the visitors with 100 tourism kits to ensure they were well briefed on all the attractions, services and facilities available in the region.
The kits were developed together with local businesses and operators, and offered discounts to the crew on attractions, tours and meals.
The movie’s lead actors Robert Sheehan, from Misfits and the Red Riding Trilogy, and Rebeca Breeds, from Pretty Little Liars and Home and Away, were the first ones to check out the information pack with movie director Ben Elton.
Mr Sheehan said he had already hit the road and visited some of the region’s attractions, including the Mandurah estuary.
“I have already been out and about enjoying the local restaurants and the food, atmosphere and the view of the Mandurah estuary at night is superb,” he said.
“People travel the world to find places like this.
“I am looking forward to exploring more of the surrounds in the Peel region while I am here.”
MAPTO chairman Leighton Yates said he was delighted about the movie being recorded in the region, and he said the crew would have every weekend free to explore Peel.
“The movie’s international and domestic stars were very impressed by the diversity and quality of the visitor experiences highlighted in the MAPTO kits,” he said.
“Since it is their first time in our region they were keen to maximise the time they have to explore Peel and they appreciated the Visitor Guide which captures all the highlights of our destination.”
