The Melbourne International Film Festival have updated their website with a lot of photos from the red carpet, afterparty and the Q&A (In Conversation) for Three Summers. I have sifted through them all and added the ones of Rob to the gallery (with sources). There are some great shots! There is also some theremin action… Be sure to check them out!

Better late than never, right? I have just returned home from the Melbourne International Film Festival where they held the world premiere and afterparty for the comedy film Three Summers (more on that later, I’m exhausted!) I have added 11 lovely high res photos of Robert Sheehan with writer-director Ben Elton and cast to the gallery, be sure to check out those amazing shiny pants!
As we are all looking forward to the exciting world premiere of Ben Elton’s Three Summers on Saturday night at the Melbourne International Film Festival, I thought I should let you all know that I will be in attendance for the first screening and then the afterparty. Since I won’t be able to share much during the event, my lovely and super supportive friend who’s behind the Twitter fan account (@SheehanSpam, go follow!) will take over for me on Twitter at @RobSheehanOrg.
I will return the afternoon after the premiere to update everyone here and upload all the high quality photos and social media content to the gallery! My updates will also include posting on Instagram, Tumblr and Facebook. Apologies for the slight delay (but in good reason, right?!)
For those who don’t have a Twitter account, you can check back here for the instantly updated Twitter feeds below for everything that happens! The first one is RSD and the second is what everyone is saying in the Robert Sheehan tag. (All sorts goes on in there!)
The very first poster has just released for Ben Elton’s Three Summers starring Robert Sheehan and Rebecca Breeds. I also have a couple of new promotional stills as well. You can find them all in the photo gallery in high quality! Check them out here.
A new synopsis has been released along with the stills (we now know Robert’s name in the film!) Catch it Australian cinemas on November 2, hopefully more countries to be announced later.
When Keevey (Rebecca Breeds), the lead singer of a popular Irish folk band The Warrikins, meets Roland (Robert Sheehan), a self righteous and somewhat eccentric theremin player, at a rural folk festival, sparks begin to fly. Their blossoming romance forms the backdrop to a series of interweaving festival stories as we see how the characters change from one summer to the next. Among them is Henry (Michael Caton) a grieving grandfather who runs the local Morris Dancing troupe, Eamon (John Waters), Keevey’s father and founder of The Warrikins; and Jack (Kelton Pell), a Noongar didgeridoo player. Keeping them all in line is Queenie (Magda Szubanski), the community radio announcer, who sees the same old confrontations year after year and thinks it’s high time we found ways to embrace our differences and all learn to get along. Written and directed by renowned comedian Ben Elton, Three Summers is a comedy about a community who discover they have much more in common than their taste in music.
